If you guys haven't heard it is Niuean Language Week this week... This morning I did some work with my class about Greetings in Niuean Language Week, How to say Colors, Some facts and they are all in this Google Slide, I haven't done much but here's what I've been focusing on this morning and will be focusing on for this week ( I will be adding more throughout the week if I have the time )

Nĭ Hāo Bloggers !!

To those of you who don't know , This week is Chinese Language Week ! 

Today , My Teacher reminded us about Chinese Language Week , We then started working on pronouncing how to say some phrases , We got on to sharing how to say the phrases to the class , We all at some point had a little bit of a struggle saying some of the phrases but with the help of our Teacher we got there , We also had to make a Poster about the phrases we've learnt and an example of someone saying it  , So here is a picture of my work .

What I found challenging was when I had to pronounce the words but it's also good to try new things and Today I learnt how to Introduce myself which was enjoyable , I really liked this and hoped to do it some time soon , I really hoped you Bloggers have learnt something from this too !

Tongan Language Week !

As you may know, It is Tongan Language Week this week, Me and my Class have done a slide containing each of our names, We got given a subject to base our slide on ( I got given Farewells ), We all had to translate how to say these subjects in Tongan.

Online Learning

I actually haven't been posting on my blog lately but today I will be sharing ALL the things I have been learning through Lockdown, As you may know NZ is in Level 4 Lockdown at the moment and I've actually been active on Google Meetings with my class:

So last week me and my class had to do an A-Z Challenge, We have already done 3 Documents wit 3 lists to complete, We've done our A-Z challenge, It looks like this (And by clicking on it, it will take you to my work so you may have a proper look at it):

We then got on to something called Probability, We got shared a slide that we had to SMURF, We used a spinning wheel and collected the data that it gave us, We actually had to spin it 50 times and collect the even and odds and put it into our Google Slides.

This Week we then moved onto Idioms, We actually did two Google drawing learning about Idioms, For Example an idiom is like saying ''He gave her the cold shoulder'' Which doesn't actually mean he's giving her a cold shoulder, It actually means Him ignoring her and having to being distanced from her, here is my work :

I really enjoyed the work through Lockdown, I enjoyed writing the A-Z Challenge on our Google Docs, But what I found challenging was collecting the Data for the Probablity Slides, I actually didn't get the hang of it at first but with my Teacher's help I actually got it through and completed my work, So that was  what my learning was like during Lockdown Level 4, I'm looking forward to our next Google Meeting where we will be doing Olympic Games / Challenges with some of the other classes from our school.

Olympics Inquiry

 Hi Bloggers ! 

For the past few weeks me and my class have been learning about the Olympics and the Tokyo Mascot, Me and Hadassah (Who I worked with) have been researching and finding information about the Tokyo Mascot, We found out lots of information about Miraitowa. We learnt about 3 main things that the Olympic Rings, The problems and Issues and the IOC facts that we found out.

Languages :D

Hey Bloggers ! 

Today I was on site called Duolingo with my Class, It's a site where you learn different kinds of languages, 10-15 minutes a day, My class explores the site every Friday and learn different types of languages. Last Term we were learning how to speak Japanese but this Term we are learning how to say and speak different types of phrases and sentences in Spanish, It's hard and challenging at first, but then you get used to it when you learn more and more.

Here are some of the phrases I learnt on Duolingo:

1. Yo soy una mujer / I am a women

2. El come manzanas / He eats apples

3. El es hombre / He is a man

4. Yo soy a hombre / I am a man

5. El nino / The boy

Ball Toss 04/05/21

 Hi Bloggers, Today I was with my class doing the Big 4 walking down to the back court, our teacher then explained what we were doing (we also had our Maths books and pencils with us too), what we had to do was that our teacher took out a basketball and a device, the device tells us how high it can go, so Mr Walker stuck the device on the Ball and asked us one by one to come up and throw the ball and high as we can, while the person is throwing the ball, the rest of us had to note down in a graph the names and how high they threw the ball in Meters, Here is a graph I made with the statement below it:

Simple Sentences

 Hey Bloggers, Today I was learning how to write simple, compound and complex sentences. I found that writing was experimentally fun, what I found hard was when we were confused at first, then we started to get the hang of it when we looked at examples.

Houses of the Future

 Hi Bloggers, Today I learned about Houses of the Future, Their are houses made out of glass, made out of metal, houses on wheels, houses underwater also houses on hills, We had to make a house that you think would be in the future, we also had to answer questions like how many people can fit in it and what your house is made of.

W.I.T.S

 Hi Bloggers, Today me and my class had to do a D.L.O on W.I.T.S, WITS stand for Walk Away, Ignore, Tell Someone and Seek Help, Wits help people stop getting into fights by repeating this process, we also learned something called adrenaline, adrenaline is the process of our body when we get angry, the line spikes up when we get angry or someone is making fun of you and you really want to hit them, everyone has this, some people's one's are slower and calmer, because they probably barely get angry or it's that their really calm.

Carriers Learning

 Hi Bloggers, Today I went to Carriers, Carriers is a thing where we have groups of students that rotate every term to different groups, Me and my group are in Robotics, Robotics with Mr Walker of course (My Teacher), There are different teachers on 2 days a week having to take classes.

In Robotics we learnt about Operating Systems, Like IOS which is Apple and stands for Iphone Operating System, There's Android which is also Samsung and any other iphone or laptop brands that I didn't know about, There's MacOS which stands for Macbook Operating System.

We also did Coding on Scratch, What I found challenging was how we had to remember all of this work and I also never realised how hard coding looked, but I found it kind of easy.
